A few smaller fish is all it took to win the prizes this year. Nice going guys! 43 entries (slightly more than half of our membership), 4 of which are were juniors applied their skills this year on post-run waters in a race to the finish. We were very lucky with the weather and it turned out to be a great day. Jeff Byrne is a long time repeat winner of the Catch & Release Award, and Doug Swan and Larry McKonkey are also a repeat winners…Way to go guys!! From all of us at the Ontario Steelheaders we would like to wish Darlene Munro better luck next time!!
Harold Curtis and his crew put on a great dinner complete with a fish boil. The meeting and ceremonies featured all kinds of club information & history as well as a slideshow. Our first meeting went very well and the membership renewal and draw ticket support was tremendous!! It’s great seeing everyone get together after all the fisheries work is done in the spring to just kick back a little and just enjoy the park, the river, the fishery, and each other’s company. Thanks again to everyone for making it a great day! See you in October!!
