Membership

The Ontario Steelheaders have created this web site in an effort to communicate more effectively with persons having concerns similar to our own with regard to our fisheries resources. Membership in the Ontario Steelheaders provides a vehicle to support the rehabilitation, egg collection, adult fish transfer, smolt release, and to have input to the decision making processes which effects change.

Ontarians are fortunate in that we have so many rivers and streams when compared with some other provinces and countries, however, the water quality of many will not support aquatic life. Individuals are hard pressed to do much to correct the deficiencies causing these conditions unless they form groups which, through affiliation with other organizations can not only have their concerns heard, but in many cases obtain the necessary support to bring about the changes required.

The Ontario Steelheaders is always open to new members but is particularly seeking members in geographical areas encompassing the headwaters of the Saugeen River and its tributaries. 


Membership to the Ontario Steelheaders is open to everyone as follows:

    

  • Regular 1 Year Membership = $25.00    Regular 3 Year Membership = $60.00

  • Family 1 Year Membership (Parents and children to age 16) = $30.00

  • Senior 1 Year Regular Membership (age 65 and over) = $20.00

  • Junior 1 Year Regular Membership (16 years or under) = $10.00
